Regional Work on Immigrant Rights

MUA is a leader in regional efforts that ensure the Bay Area continues to be active in promoting policies in favor of immigrant rights.

In addition to stopping deportations and ensuring due process for all, MUA works in coalition with other organizations to respond to emerging issues in the immigrant community. Among them is the response to the current humanitarian crisis for asylum seekers on the border between the United States and Mexico.

National Immigrant Rights Work

MUA works for immigrant rights at the national level through collaborations and participation in national coalitions and campaigns such as We are Home and,  Welcome with Dignity.

Through these coalitions and campaigns, we seek to have a dialogue against deportations at the national level. We see clearly the importance of pushing for an immediate stop to immigrant deportations and family separations, while also turning to Congress to achieve a quick and accessible path to citizenship.
