Fair Immigration Reform

For many years, MUA has been very present in the national work for immigrant rights through the fight for fair and inclusive immigration reform. Recently through We Are Home, a national coalition co-founded by National Domestic Workers Alliance which now includes more than 100 local, regional and national organizations focused on immigration reform.
We Are Home focuses on creating a path to citizenship for the more than 11 million undocumented workers in this country. We are Home is committed to building a functioning immigration system that recognizes the humanity and rights of immigrants, unifies families, and ensures that this country is truly for all of us.
Through digital lobbying, in-person legislative visits, rallies, petitions, pilgrimages, civil disobedience and more. For many years, MUA leaders have been a powerful voice calling for immigration reform legislation that:
- It includes a clear plan towards citizenship that recognizes the contributions of women and workers' work, particularly during the COVID pandemic.
- It keeps all families together.
- It guarantees the protection of survivors of violence and trafficking.
- Protects families and ensures due process.
