Support MUA with your donation

IMG_9135Be a donor or even a MUA sponsor

In order to sustain our work, we need your support. We appreciate donations of all kinds and invite you to donate what you can. We ask members for a donation of $3 monthly, or $36 per year, as voluntary membership dues. Or if you can donate more, you can join the Circle of Godmothers. Godmothers make an annual commitment, and make a monthly, quarterly or annual payment as part of that commitment.

Donations can be made online through this link, or you can send a check or money order to:

MUA
18th Street, #23
San Francisco, CA 94110

Donations from your employer

Ask your employer if they donate to community organizations. Some employers double the employee's donation or make donations through charitable networks. MUA is a partner of one of those networks, Local Independent Charities of America.

Includes MUA in your legacy

Ensure our movement remains strong for generations! Please consider including MUA in your legacy. Here are two easy ways to do it:

Include MUA in your will

We suggest offering your attorney the following language: “I give Mujeres Unidas y Activas, a California nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under IRS 501(c)(3), with its principal offices at 3543 18th St, Box 23, San Francisco, CA 94110-1600, [all (or ___ percentage) of my assets] or [the amount of $___] for your general use.”

Include MUA as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance

  1. Request a beneficiary change form from your plan administrator. Or you may be able to make changes to your plan from your online account.
  2. Includes MUA as one of its beneficiaries:

Mujeres Unidas y Activas
3543 18th St, Box 23
San Francisco, CA 94110-1600
IRS Identification Card: 20-2986926

Please let us know if you have included MUA in your legacy plans. For more information, please contact Yael (yael@mujeresunidas.net). We thank you for your support and solidarity.

Item Donations

MUA is a community store partner Community Thrift in San Francisco. When you donate your clothing, furniture, kitchen items or other items to Community Thrift and choose MUA as the beneficiary organization (No. 23), MUA receives the proceeds from the sale of those items.

MUA also accepts the following donations: ergonomic chairs and desks, coronavirus protection items (masks, hand sanitizer, etc.), new computers, office supplies, some kitchen items, some new childcare items or in very good condition (such as toys, games, books, notebooks, crayons, etc.), and new gifts for baby showers. Please contact Olga Olga (olga@mujeresunidas.net) if you would like to donate any of these items.  MUA does not accept donations of clothing, sheets, towels or stuffed animals.
