Many of our supporters have reached out to ask us how MUA and our members are doing. While this is an undoubtedly difficult time for our immigrant community, we’re pleased to share that MUA has seen a significant upsurge in member engagement this year. In our 15 offices, we are seeing far more women participating at our meetings and trainings than ever before. Where we used to have 25-30 women show up to a given meeting -- whether in San Francisco, Oakland or Union City -- we now regularly have 40-XNUMX, and often more. Members are bringing their neighbors, their mothers, their friends. They tell us that they feel safe and empowered at MUA - they know they can get reliable information, be in community, and get connected to useful resources.
We’re grateful that we are a trusted place in the community, and we are inspired to continue our organizing and advocacy efforts.
