English classes

For the moment classes were suspended.
At Mujeres Unidas y Activas, we value and seek multilingualism and multiculturalism, so that women can bridge the communication gap among English, Spanish, and Mam-speaking communities. Our English classes focus on the following skills:
- Transferable skills
- Critics
- Data analysis
- Information processing,
- Theorizing and hypotheses
- Conflict resolution
- Language skills such as listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
We focus on issues related to our immigrant community, such as politics, immigration, economy, labor rights, social activism, health, education and employment, among others.
We believe that linguistic and communicative justice is essential for us, as women who speak languages other than English, because we need to communicate, learn and know our rights as immigrant women, immigrant indigenous women, working women and mothers. We believe that our organization's pioneering work in advancing linguistic and communicative justice in our community and others like it provides us with many promising opportunities for our organization, but more importantly, for our community and active members.
