Become a Donor
In order to sustain our important work, MUA needs your financial support. We welcome donations of any size and invite you to join MUA’s community of supporters. MUA also welcomes you to join our Madrinas Sustainer program. MUA Madrinas make an annual pledge that can be paid monthly, quarterly, or annually.
Donations can be made online by clicking here, or else they can be mailed to:

Charitable Giving Campaigns
MUA is proud to be part of the Local Independent Charities of America. Ask your employer if they have a workplace giving campaign and whether it’s possible to donate MUA via deductions to your paycheck!
Employer Matching Programs
Many employers match their employees’ charitable giving. Ask your employer if they would be willing to match your contribution to MUA and double your impact!
Help our movement stay strong for generations to come! Please consider including MUA in your legacy planning. Here are two simple ways to do so:
Include MUA in your will
We suggest providing your attorney with the following language: “I give to Mujeres Unidas y Activas, a California nonprofit organization that is recognized as tax exempt from tax under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, with its principal offices at 3543 18th St, Box 23, San Francisco, CA 94110-1600, [all (or ___ percent) of my residuary estate] or [the sum of $___] to be used for its general purposes.”
Include MUA as a beneficiary of your Retirement Savings Account or Life Insurance Policy
- Request a beneficiary designation form from your plan administrator. Another option may be to update your beneficiaries by logging into your account online.
- Include us as one of your beneficiaries:
Mujeres Unidas y Activas
3543 18th St, Box 23
San Francisco, CA 94110-1600
Tax ID #: 20-2986926
If you have included MUA in your bequest plans, please let us know. For more information and to discuss, please contact Yael (email@example.com). Thank you for your support and solidarity!
Donation of Items
MUA is proud to partner with Community Thrift in San Francisco. When you donate clothing, home goods, and other items to Community Thrift and identify MUA as your charity of choice (#23), MUA receives the proceeds from the sale of those items.
MUA gratefully accepts the following types of donations: ergonomic chairs and desks, PPE, new computers, office supplies, kitchenware (coffee mugs, plates, serving platters, and utensils), items in good condition for our childcare rooms (such as books, games and art supplies), and new items for baby showers. Please contact Olga (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to donate any of these items to our offices. Please note that we are unable to accept donations of clothing, linens, towels, or stuffed animals.
