My name is Juana, and I’m from Nicaragua. I have been a member of MUA for over 4 years. I came to this organization because a friend and I were looking for a job resource center. I saw a MUA flyer and came to one of their group meetings. I really liked the first meeting so I kept coming back. The emotional support and solidarity between all the Latina women at the MUA meetings is what I love the most. Through MUA I have learned to not be afraid to live in the United States because we have support and we have rights. I hope to find a good job in the future in order for me to accomplish what I came to the U.S. for– to fulfill my dreams and to work hard.
