Capacity Building
MUA has a long history of investing in capacity building. For over ten years, MUA has recognized organizational development as not just auxiliary to our mission and programs but actually a key component of our work. MUA recognizes that organizational development work must be on-going. While the focus and objectives of the work will change, continuous investment in the strengthening of our organization is essential to ensuring that MUA will be around for the long-term with strategic staffing, programmatic, and fundraising/administrative structures that enable us to have the most impact.
MUA has worked with a variety of consultants over several years to build our internal structures, invest in the leadership development of our members, staff, and board, and make conscious decisions about our fundraising model. These examples of organizational development work have made MUA a model organization within our movements.
