Carmen Denis
Carmen is an immigrant from El Salvador. She has been working at Mujeres Unidas y Activas for over 10 years; though has been present and witnessed the development of MUA as an organization since it was founded 25 years ago. She was the Coordinator of MUA’s Caring Hands Job Training program through which she helped prepared hundreds of Latina immigrants to obtain living wage jobs as Childcare Providers, Housecleaners, and Home Healthcare Attendants. She is now the Economic Security Counselor. Carmen is passionate about working with her community because she identifies with her co-workers and members.
