Maria is from Mexico. She came to the United States in 2001 with a desire to move forward and seek opportunities that she hadn’t had in her homeland. Maria joined MUA through a friend’s recommendation. She attended a general meeting where she received training on her rights as a domestic worker and child caregiver. She loved the childcare training and is now part of the MUA staff as a child caregiver.
