Veronica Nieto

Veronica came to the U.S. from Mexico city in 2000, and arrived to the Bay Area in 2010 as a domestic worker. She met MUA by participating in a visit to Sacramento, during which she realized that she had been undercompensated and abused, and became motivated to better understand labor rights. Veronica was most driven by the work leading up to the passing of the CA Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. As Outreach Coordinator, Veronica is excited to continue to inform her community, and to serve as an example of rising from exploitation as a domestic worker to being an active part of the movement.
